How-to Manually Install Network Components in Windows 95-98-ME

01- Click on start, settings, then Control Panel.

2- Double-click the network icon. The Network windows appears.

3- Click on the Configuration tab. Make sure that the following components are installed.

• Client for Microsoft Networks.
• You're Ethernet Adapter.
• IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol.
• NetBEUI.
• TCP/IP.

Client for Microsoft Networks

If you connect to a PTP Network or an NT Server. Needed For Home Networks, and Small Office.

Client for Netware Networks

Only if you are connecting to a Novell NetWare server (3.x) Only For Small Business, and Large Corporate

IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol. Needed For Home Networks, and Small Office.

NetBEUI. Needed For Home Networks, and Small Office.

TCP/IP. Needed For Home Networks, and Small Office..
